Selling tractor and loader

I bought an Oliver 880 a couple of years ago with a New Idea Loader on it, Tractor was rough and the loader cylinders leaked like a sieve. I took the loader off and worked on the tractor and have it looking pretty decent and running good. Here's a picture from when I brought it home.

I have a new picture on my phone, I'll reply with a picture of it now. Trying to decide if I'd be better off to just sell the tractor by itself and hope to find someone wanting a loader that will fit an Oliver or fix the loader seals and sell together.

I have bought a few tractors with old loaders on them over the years. I ask the seller if they would just keep the loader after we agree on a price. They always say no. Some of those old loaders aren't worth hauling home. I would rather just have the tractor. I have given away old loaders or hauled them in for scrap if I can't find any takers.

Good looking tractor sir. I would probably try to sell without the loader and then offer the loader to the buyer. If they don't take it, put it up for sale or scrap it.

Looks good.
The first M I bought had a pipe frame trip bucket loader on it. I got lucky and was able to leave it with the seller! At least yours is all hydraulic not sure if its better to take it off or not.

If you don't have any need, want, use, or desire for the loader, probably best if it just goes with the tractor.

It probably isn't going to add much value to the tractor by selling it and the loader as a unit. But it just makes more sense to me, to let it go with the tractor, rather than split it, and loader end up at the iron yard. If that's going to be the case, it might as well be the doings of the new buyer, IF they so choose.

Sometimes when newer tractors and loaders are sold at auction, they offer them together and split. Which ever way brings the most, is the way they will end up selling it. Sometimes they end up split, sometimes stay together. If this tractor and loader was on an auction, the auctioneer would likely sell it as a package deal, and not even offer it as split. It's generally only nicer newer loaders that they will offer to sell loader separately.

Stop making me drool with all the Ollies. I'd love a 550 with PS, or an 880 diesel with WF, power-traction hitch, power booster, and PS. But having grown up with a 770 narrow front and a loader I can tell you it's real easy to get them stuck. A lot of weight on the front, pulls weight off the back. If I knew then what I know now, I woudl ahve used pins on the main arms and rams and quick connects on the hoses, and figured out a way to run without that loader out front.

Took 3 tractors and 300' of chain to retrieve it last time I found the wet spot in the muck.
