Hey guys. I have a 49 model A john deere. I was trying to start it the other day on a weak battery and come to find out a crappy cable connection to the negative side of battery. I kept trying to start it like a idiot and something stuck or welded itself shut. when i turn on the ignition key the start starts spinning(Not engaging the flywheel because i don't have foot pedal pressed). Obviously normally i press the foot pedal and it engages flywheel and starts turning. didn't know if anyone has any advice. Im going to put a new end on battery cable and get a new battery, didn't know what would cause this issue. is the little silver start thingy on start welded together???? thanks. guys.
