Double checking lefthand threads or not..any tips getting that nut to break loose...ive put a cheetah bar on pipe wrench an no luck...

I think right hand thread and usually has a rusted half broken cotter pin through the nut that needs to come out. And I always used a 1 impact to get it off. It's also most likely a spined tapered shaft to remove once the nut is off

I was tryin lefty loosy..anyone else..think right hand or left.. tbis one has no cotter pin..shaft is keyed..thanks dewy

If no cotter pin, a general rule on them is if the blades rotate clockwise looking from top of mower it should be right hand thread, if counter clockwise it should be left hand thread. This is so the nut doesn't back off if a solid oaject is hit, it would make it tighter.

If clockwse an left hand...any tips to break loose cause like u said its tighting all the time an its been on there a long time, its cuming off a rough wore out deck...dewy

I have always had to use a large impact 1 inch drive and sometimes had to heat the nut with a torch and let it cool several times. Or just cut the nut off, if I could get a new one

Even if you get the nut off doesn't mean the stump jumper will come off. I have worked for hours getting them off. Heat, jacks, wedges and even a few cuss words at times. Good Luck

It is a 17/8 socket..,i have applied heat to nut.got red hot in one spot...like yall said messicks says 1 1/4....left hand...got 3/4breaker bar an cheetah pipe on that an come along...nothin yet....

If you can get a new nut, I would try splitting the nut with a cut off wheel in a grinder, and then drive a small chisel into the split, do it every other flat, 3 places. Try to stay out of the threads.
