I busted a coupler on my 4x4 drive shaft and have every manual they make for this tractor but it doesnt show anything about the drive shaft. I got a new coupler and it has a hole and a pin. There is no hole at all 4 ends of shafts. The coupler that Was on the tractor has a C-clip (guessing on name) but it has 2 holes and you to have the right tool to open the clip to install. 1.. I dont see where the clip goes but in the coupler keeping the shaft away from the front axle shaft as where I bought the new coupler they figured the one with the hole should go in the back? Would the pin just go between the drive shaft and the rear trans shaft to keep them apart? Or should I get another C-clip and skip the pin?
Any help would be great. I have all these books that are so detailed on how to take tractor apart but nothing on the drive shaft. If anyone knows anything about this please help as amputee and need my tractor back!

Seen an old post and the guy was going to weld the couplers!! And you all said NO!!
My splines are not the best on one end and from his post 16+ Yrs ago these shafts are not easy to find. Is there anything that can be done to give shaft more steel on splines as Im going to have to dremel a bit so coupler will go on where it got bugggered up.
This all happened as a stupid drive home and going too fast and no wasnt in 4x4 but it broke part of what holds the front axle to tractor and the front part that the drive shaft connects to Dang I hate paying for my stupid mistakes but such is life. Over 140 broken bones and some 2and 3 times so I have paid my dues and lucky to be alive yet drive a tractor. Thanks so much. I am glad I found this site as U all seem like some great folks. And sorry to hear about the storms.
