woods 121 cutting uneven

My father in law purchased a woods 121 twin cadet mower, that needed some work. We have replaced the main gear box and installed new blades. When we started mowing the Fields the right side was cutting as it should but the left side is leaving the grass higher and in sum places it is just laying over the grass. Any insights on where to start trouble shooting would be appreciate it.

Is the left blade turning the correct direction as in maybe it is turning backwards

That's my thought too.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did confirm the the blades are spinning in the correct direction. I also discovered that the parts department sent us the wrong blades. they gave use two sets of blades for one side of the mower. so problem solved.
