As I understand it there is some court wrangling on who own the name SCOUT but at least they are coming with a pickup who know what the name will be.
 
TF, I had one with a 5 speed and it would easily get 50+ mpg. Drove it down south on a deer hunt, and while there a big cold front came in. Drove back home against a 40-50 mph north wind in 3rd gear. Still got good mileage.
 
VW has never been, IMHO, a reputable vehicle manufacturer.
I suppose an electric vehicle from VW might run the length of the extension cord plus possibly a bit more, depending upon any momentum built up. . .
 
Bruce .... that's a pretty bold statement. Your 'humble opinion' must be based on something other than just a humble opinion. Fill us in on the details. I'm sure there are millions and millions whose humble opinion would differ. Anyways, I await your reply ....
