Playing in the hay.

Now I know you guys are going to shake your heads and laugh at me, and thats ok. I dont mind! I was looking and my little test plot I tried that #37 mower on, and I thought why let that go to waste? I could handle a little seat time. So I got on the Super H and hooked up the old rake.

I did just fine. It might be old but it still make a windrow!

Unfortunately I still havent got my baler up and running. Sooo I decided to make a haystack.

I got on the 830 and brought the hay to be piled. Worked good! And made a little stack. I know some will get wasted but thats ok. Im just going to throw it to the chickens to scratch in and nest anyway. We cant let them free range because there are way to many predators around here so I keep them in a run.

Now theyll have a little hay to play in.

That's some good thinking. Good job.
Need some tires on the corners of your tarp to hold it? Maybe no wind in that corner.?
Thanks for sharing.
Too wet here to try that. GG

Thanks!
Its hard to see in the picture but I have the tarp tied down to stakes at the corners. Im on the other side of Missouri from you we didnt get quite as much rain over here and its been dry and hot all week. Hope you guys dry out!

I still use my Grandfather's ca. 1940 4 bar IH rake. makes a fluffy windrow, not a rope. Half a tube of grease every time i go to the field though.... Nice pictures.

Looks like the red one has an ejection seat on it. I can't tell, is it cocked and ready to eject?
