Did you guys come through this one okay? At a minimum I had my overhead garage door totaled and window out of garage. It looks like one of the sheds is leaning on the south end. Soon as it quits raining I will go out and take a closer look.

Doing good.

The police scanner they were talking about the twister being just south of New Ulm, intersection of 15 and 68 more or less.

Another round of this tomorrow evening, they predict.

My corn is all safely in the bags in the shed, boy we are going to need a lot of propane this fall for the late planted crops after all this.....

Just had a lot of crazy lightning and thunder here. Glad youre safe. Be careful looking for storm damaged items. Thank you for asking about us. Kow Farmer Kurt

I had a machine shed door blow off, but that was this morning in the strong winds, not during the storm......

Yep, shed is leaning. Not bad but I will hook a cable to it and pull it back into shape and brace it. Couple windows blowed out of the old dairy barn. They are in the peek on the West end. I will have to hire someone to replace those. I used to climb it but I'm just not comfortable 30 ft. up on the top of the extension ladder anymore. Then I got a call from one of my rental houses in Mankato. The whole block was out of power and it smoked some of the breakers in my house. Called my electrician and met him down there. /Somewhere the main line must have been hit by lightning. Ruined everything in my house with a electronic circuit board. Frig, furnace, microwave, computers and tv's. My stuff is all covered with insurance but I dread going through the hassle.

Oh well I have to always remember what my wife says....Did anybody get hurt?...No...Well then get going and fix it up.

Ive heard rumors of hail and a funnel in south Meeker/ Wright, but here were unscathed. I know I wont cut lawn tomorrow and the sump pump is busy.

Flyingbelgian,

What a headache... but glad that everyone is OK.

Yes, sounds like another round of storms are likely again tonight (last nights storms broke up and did not reach us, thankfully).

We had about 3/4" of rain last night and about 3/10" the night before.
Lots of wind last night and power was out for about 2 1/2 hours. We were also in a tornado warning for a while. But I just looked around the yard and no damage here that I can see. We heard that a couple neighbors had some trees down though.
We're between Mankato and Waseca.

I think we are ok here where we are, but north and west of me a ways was some mighty bad weather. This is a day later than the original message, day 2.

Lot of straight line winds over 70mph all over the place. Entir county without power, lot of stuff blown around.

Good luck to all.

Paul
Day 2 of storms

I live near Sedalia, and sure feels like summer, with the heat. Thankful for the breeze. We had a little over 5.5 of rain in 6 days last week then hot.
