3pt back hoe on allis Chalmers 190 hydraulic issues

I bought a Kelly b60 3 pt backhoe that runs off of the tractor hydraulics. (Iplan on converting it to pto in the future but have a few small projects to do before then)So from my understanding I need open center hydraulics and that is what my 190 has I believe. So the problem I have is I can only get the backhoe to run if someone holds the lever in the lower position on the tractor. This doesnt make sense to me that the lever keeps kicking out to center once I operate the backhoe with no one holding it. Its been 20+ years since I had hydraulics class in college and it was never my strongest class. I am hoping for someone can help me out.

Has your one ninety got one or two remotes. Seemed to me some had locking detents the others had automatic kick back so when you went to the end and say hit the remote you did not have to hold your hand on the lever the disk would come up then it would kick out called self canceling.

I'm not familiar with the AC tractors much, but I have a Long brand 1199 ? backhoe that I frequently run on an IH 574. It is plumbed now to run off of the tractor's SCV remote. What I do is plug in the hoses where the lever is pulled back, then tie it into the on position with a bungee strap or string where it will not kick out when a backhoe function reaches a full stroke. It has worked well for me. It may or may not be correct, but it definitely beats a shovel.

Use a bunge to hold the lever. Any tractor lever that I've seen will kick out unless you hold it.

We had an old Shawnee on an 830 case back when it had to have the lever tied to stay working. Otherwise it would do just like yours.

Yes, that's normal.

The detent is intended to kick out at "end of stroke" but in reality it kicks out when the pressure reaches a certain point.

Even if it's adjusted perfectly, it will kick out under high loads, such as if you sink the bucket into the ground and try to dig.

Tie the lever down so it can't kick out.
