Backhoe for international 300 utility

I see what is supposedly a good condition backhoe attachment off a 300 utility for sale I'm thinking it'd be useful to have for a few lawn projects I've got coming up. Three quick questions. Will this fit my 350 utility which has a front end loader already attached? Do these work well for small to medium jobs. And, are they fairly straightforward for attaching? Thanks for the feedback! Paul

The 350 U will be a good match, and it will take some load off the steering. (a good thing) It probably will interact with the fast hitch if yours has it, not sure. A PTO or Front driven Hydraulic pump is a dramatic improvement over the distributor drive pump. Jim

Thanks for the reply Jim. I understand your point that a pto driven pump is better than the distributor pump. In your experience would this type of loader come with a pto pump or are you suggesting I should get one? Thanks as always. Paul. PS. I know you address many questions everyday but for you may recall that a local mechanic said he'd do the bearing in the 350. Good news is he picked it up and my tractor resides in one corner of his shop. Bad news is that was about a month ago! It's taking up valuable floor space and he's promising to split any day now...

If there is nothing sticking out of the front bolster where the crank hole is (and 4 mount bolt holes usually) and there is nothing attached to the PTO shaft, then it does not have an add on pump. A front mount live hydraulic pump is desirable, and a PTO driven one might interfere with the Backhoe. Jim
