Craziest stuff you saw at Lesueur?

I saw a smart car body on an N series Ford tractor. Or maybe it was a Ferguson. The rear wheels were dished out to provide clearance for the body to sit down. I didn't bother with a picture, but maybe I should have.

A pic would have been great... though I didn't take pics today either.

I talked to a guy from SD today.... he said it startwd to sprinkle as soon as he backed out of his garage. I think he was not impressed with the amount of mud.

Not sure about crazy but the neatest thing was a fellow on Thursday afternoon was driving around with a Deere 110 lawn mower that was redone to look like a 3010 tractor. Lots of people do these but this was the best one I ever saw. I have pics in my phone but not sure how to post them here. Tom

Here is a try at phone pics. Tom

Ate lunch with a couple young guys from Iowa here for the first time. They were not impressed with the mud. Asked if they ever heard of gravel up here.

I saw a Farmhand 3 wheeled vehicle. Never seen such a thing before. It had a license plate on it that said Farmhandy. What would this thing been used for? Kow Farmer

(quoted from post at 11:14:57 04/23/22) Ate lunch with a couple young guys from Iowa here for the first time. They were not impressed with the mud. Asked if they ever heard of gravel up here.

Belgian, those young guys don't realize how far a 25 ton load of gravel will NOT go. I thought the site was pretty well graveled for as many paths as they have to gravel. Any main path was passable but they did have a solid base and there was traction. They have a bunch of money invested in those solid paths.

I think they call it Limestone there in Minnesota,Its not as good as crushed gravel as i know it! But better than nothing!

Limestone is better than gravel for firming up soft ground. However limestone does wear down into dust faster than gravel. When the bridge on the gravel road by my place was replaced with twin culverts it was a soft mess right above the culverts after the contractor left. I contacted the county about it and the next day they hauled in a few loads of crushed one inch limestone. That firmed it up right away and it has stayed solid ever since.
