Tools with uses beyond their intended function

I bought this set of vehicle door panel removal tools several years ago. Today I'm doing a bit of remodeling and adding base cabinets to our mud room. The five inch base trim boards had to be removed. The red plastic wedge tool worked perfectly to start getting the trim board away from the drywall without damaging either the trim board or the drywall. I included a couple pictures of the package as well.

The little crowbar is also a door panel removal tool. It was great for getting down behind the trim and prying it off after the plastic wedge started pulling it away.

I thought this was going a different way. Like tool abuse.. using a crescent wrench or pipe wrench like a hammer, ect. I dont own the trim tools you have, but do have several stout plastic scrapers that come in handy for a lot of projects !

Sometimes it's necessary. Yesterday I had to grind a slot in a 11/16 inch box wrench to tighten the fitting on my temperature gage bulb, where the open end just would not fit. Stan

good afternoon, 37-Chief and all: I realize it is too late now to be any help, but I have seen commercially made "line wrenches" that resemble a box wrench except they have a gap--sort of a partially open end. They will just barely slip over the metal line (like brake line or fuel line) and the jaw part fits on the hex part of fitting better that the simple open-end wrenches. An old-timer should know what a line wrench is....
