Kohler motor model

I have a Kohler motor on my air compressor. I am trying to find the model number. I don't have much to go on. The air compressor is a three cylinder. The motor is a single cylinder upright motor. It has an electric start, and has a fuel pump. The fuel pump is what I need parts for. The air compressor, and motor are made as one unit. Thanks for any help. Stan

Post a picture and maybe someone will recognize it. The Kohler K series engnes were built for many years and then they were replaced by the Magnum series and all those were flat head engine. I think all Kohlers are over head valve engines now. Not sure if they even build a flat head anymore. Kohler used to have a very good web site but I haven't been on it in a long time though.

By upright do you mean horizontal shaft? You say the compressor and motor are made as one unit. Does that mean the compressor is direct drive (driven directly off the crankshaft rather than by pulleys?. How old is the unit? How big is the unit? Is is on a portable tank or stationary tank? Are there any indications of brand of the unit?

Older k model have model cast into block above by the crankshaft . Forgot , think it was power take off side ?
Maybe you dont have older k ?
Use to label the motor data on sheet meat flywheel cover on most engine like k301 AQS or k301 s are examples

Is this a rather new compressor?
Like this one?

Sam probably has the best idea. If you have an old K series the original mechanical pump is very spendy. A small engines repair shop I frequent recommends going electric instead of puttng an original type pump back on.
