Ouch, I think non ethanol is 4.70ish here. Do you need the higher octane? What happens to the truck if you fill it with 87 or 89 octane?

It doesnt run worth a crap on corn syrup the engine runs a lot smoother and better with ethanol free ,. . When I first got the truck it would get 2.5 mpg on ethanol . On non ethanol it gets 5.5 mpg . I know bubba will be along to tell me how hes ran ethanol for 50 years and its the greatest invention ever well good for him But its not that way here I will not use it in anything with a carburetor and especially anything that doesnt get used every day

Is that a carb engine right.

Fuel injected often E15 to E25 is the better fuel mix, but some of the old carb engines you would need to manually adjust it to get a better fuel burn, and no one does that. I wouldnt either, and Im a big fan of ethanol.

Yep, my little gas tractor runs far better on premium. Even my dads old 68 Ford Ranger hates your corn syrup. The checkbook hates it but can't argue with the results.

Its not good at all especially at 5 miles to the gallon . But hey all us rich oil using people need punished if we just went electric this wouldnt be affecting us . Until electricity quadruples in price

You have to take the sign off your back,,,its says kick me,,,you seem to get kicked a lot lately.

You could reach in the hat ,,like the guy did in Mayberry,,,and pull out 7 /5/8?

I missed that one Larry . The channel I watch replays about the same ten episodes on continuous loop . But hey as long as they play the YTDOT episode right ??

150$ a fill up will cut right into the old profit margin especially when you burn 300$ worth a day at that price

1979 BC, Before Children, I had a 75 hp evinrude on a ski boat.

I had to use premium gas to get enough power to pull a skier out of the water..

My sister in Florida uses premium gas in her old 2 cycle outboard.
She claims premium gas has no ethanol. People in Florida claim Ethanol mixed fuel has a short shelf life because of the humidity..

I say use what works for you. It's your money..

I was looking at hybrid cars. Not that I need a new one, just bored. Cadillac makes a 4 cylinder hybrid. In the fine print it says to use 91 octane fuel. The hybrid car only gets a few more mpg than my car that uses 87 e 10. No savings with a hybrid if you have to use 91.

Distant relative of nine has a diamond reo tractor and cattle trailer id like to get my hands on .

SV, I have a theory. The tank on the old truck was probably contaminated with water in the bottom.

The ethanol mixed with the water, brought it up where the pump picked it up and sent the blend of ethanol, low octane gasoline, and water to the engine. It ran, but didn't run well.

But I agree, ethanol does not play well with carburetors, diaphragm type fuel pumps, unsealed fuel systems, and even worse with a vehicle that sees periods of not being used. Keeping straight gas in it will definitely reduce fuel system problems.

It just doesnt work very good on it. When the guy I worked for on the dairy had this truck we used it to haul silage all summer he always. Just bought ethanol gas for the 3 years I ever knew about it and it didnt run very well on ethanol then either

The 91 is awfully expensive thats for sure. If I was going to do it I would go full electric . have you seen the electric Chevy truck with 4 wheel steering ?

I am going to put my Vette on the road as a daily. It's the highest mileage machine on the place.

A Neighbor had an old chevy with 4 wheel steering. He only has green equipment..I haven't seen an EV chevy..
