Farmall at the sale today

I stopped in after the bidding ended, just as well. Nicely-equipped little Farmall with excellent rubber, rear weights and cultivators. Looks ready to head back to work. Auctioneer was going by memory, thought it brought $2800. Area is central Maryland.
Super C? Gerrit

Super A. Very nice. I'd have been smiling
if I'd paid 2800 for running Super A like
that around here. I'd have gone higher.

Some As had hydraulics. Look at the grille. If it was a super A, the strip between the bottom grill slot and the seam in the metal would be
bout 1-3/4 due to the super A's having a taller radiator (and water pump due to cooling issues with the A's).

Mine is an A/ Super A sorta! It runs good on 12 volts, but it has the short radiator. Has a hydraulic pump off of a Super C. Then I made my own hyd tank and mounted it over the head and under the hood. So I
had to drill a small hole in the hood to fill the tank. The supply line to the pump had to be modified as well. Then I put a ram to raise the front blade and another one to run the nice three point I made for
the back. It is pretty rusty but it is my go to tractor. Most likely not worth $2800, but I would not let it go for that!

It is a Super A. The Super A1, basically the first Farmall 100, had the taller radiator and the extra wide bar in the grill. This increase in radiator height also caused a gap in between the gas tank and the hydraulic unit which this tractor DOES NOT have so it is most definitely a Super A.

The only way you will get one of those cheaper around here is if it belonged to a crack heads deceased dad. If your luck is real good you brought the cultivates and other Equitment from the crack head before he called ya with a said story about needing money and was ready to sale the tractor.

1500 to 2000 here. I'd have to look it over carefully because the rear cultivator lift link is so
badly bent. The cultivators and their hitching points possibly had a tough life.

Updated price info on the Super A:

Friend who was at the sale told me it sold for $1100. Add 6% sales tax and 10-12% auction fee and you have the final sales price. I'll go with 12%, assuming they were paying with plastic.

$1305.92, taxes and fees and dealer prep included.

Motor was STUCK. A group there was rocking the tractor hopefully in high gear. No go.

Someone asked about sale location--it was at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, MD. Kind of by chance that I came by this info because I was talking to my friend about something unrelated and then, as happens, tractors entered the conversation. Then old tractors. Then he said a friend of his was bidding on the Super A yesterday without me even bringing it up. So that's what got us to this point. Gerrit
