I did that on an old retired implement that had the tube exposed. Pulled it 7 miles successfully. RIP
 
We used to put a valve in the heater line on the Binders we drove at the silo company to actually shut off the heat in the summer. It worked.
 
One of my old running buddies had learned how to splice 3 strand rope.

Supposedly he made a side of the road belt from a spliced rope that got him home!


I like the one with the alarm sign on the window! Reminded me of the place I used to work, the employees were always wanting me to work on their cars and trucks.

One of the most common requests was to install a $200 alarm system on their $100 car they just bought from the tote the note!
 
Her son took his $750 car to the cities and paid $1000 to have a sun roof put in it. He put in modern headlights and butchered the wiring to get them to work. Then he hit a deer.
 
The one with a vice grip for a steering wheel must be a GM car with a tilt steering wheel. Taking one of those apart, and getting it back together again, uses most of a person's mechanical skills. Stan
