3000 3 CYL CARBS

The aftermarket carbs work, but not as well built as the original.

They are designed to fit many applications and may require some careful fitment of the throttle linkage, choke linkage and fuel line connections.

But I don't know what is inside the Holley replacements. The original Holley carbs are notoriously troublesome.

However, if I were going to buy a replacement, I would go with the Zenith copy, steer completely away from the Holley design.

I have not tried the aftermarket/no name replacements.
I put a brand new Zenith on one of my 3000s a couple years ago.
I'll be putting the Holley back on it this spring.
The Holley has it's issues, but the tractor ran better and got
better fuel economy with the Holley than it does with the Zenith.

Agreed.

The Holley tractor as used on Ford tractors is more sophisticated than other tractor carburetors of similar vintage. Accordingly, it is more sensitive to proper adjustments and (especially) proper repair
parts, e.g., metering plate gaskets.

It is also more economical and responsive if in proper working order.

Yes, it is important to keep water out of the fuel to prevent corrosion in the vacuum operated accelerator pump bore.
