Can any of you John Deere guys point me in a direction to find a pony motor for 720 John Deere prefer it to be running and possible exchange Thanks

Where are you located? I have several pony motors, but they would be expensive to ship. What problems does your current pony engine
have? I am in Wi about 40 miles east of Minneapolis.

50 miles north of Denver Colorado place called Evans on hiway 85 what would be the price for agood running motor? The one that is in the tractor has only 30 pounds of compression andthe owner wants to replace. Thanks

A complete pony engine overhaul kit is available from H & J Machining in ND for about $1700. Add in the labor and you are well over $2000
to do it right. So, a good running pony engine is worth about $1200 in our area. There are two types of four cylinder pony engines. The ones
used in JD 70s and Early JD 720s, and improved pony engines used in late 720s and 730s. The improved ones have a brass serial tag on
the engine block. The used pony engines that are available came from tractors converted to electric start and have a high probability of
having had problemsthus their removal/replacement.
