I was just watching a tractor mike video, and he said the Allis brand is gone. When did this occur? For real, no more orange tractors?

A bit earlier. After the agreement with Cat/ Challenger in 2002 the Allis name disappeared along with the White name on tractors. The orange tractors appeared as AGCOs until 2011. AGCO had pulled other names under their marque and I dont know enough about the specifics to say what models were what manufacturer as the shift to Challenger, Fendt, and Massey took place. I was told by some Ziegler folks that for some time AGCO wheel tractors were sold as Challenger at CAT dealers and CAT built track tractors were sold at AGCO dealers. Im not sure when it transitioned to all AGCO assembly and I believe both models might still be available at both dealers. I see Fendt wheel tractors at Ziegler along side the Challengers. The two local Massey dealer I pass by only have red tractors on the lot. If the White/ MM/ Cockshutt/ Oliver mixture along with the Allis Chalmers- Duetz/ Allis experiment wasnt enough to give a parts man ulcers the AGCO/ Allis/ White/ Challenger/ Fendt/ Massey recipe certainly will. Did I forget Fiat Allis construction? I know you can still get parts for your Fiat built Allis Chalmers at the CaseIH dealer if you have a good parts man

I do believe the Challenger brand is on its way out. At the recent NFMS in Louisville, Agco had Massey and Fendt well represented, not a Challenger in sight.

Currently the large Fendt/Challenger row crop tractors are built in Germany. The track machines are built in Jackson, MN.

Im about 2003 theyve killed Allis white and Oliver oh but we at agco are proud of our heritage . Now Massey Is the big name they havent dropped Heston yet but they might as well. Its not allis gleaner Corp anymore its your agriculture company :

Challenger will stay as the geniuses at agco dropped the terragator name off the application equipment and replaced it with challenger
