1939 they are good lookin tractors. My favorite color ! I have to ask tho, what is the purpose of the tube sleeve on the front pedestal right above the front tires ?

I have a tow bar that pins into the sleeve. I used to go to a local tractor pull a couple of miles away from the farm I grew up on. I would just drive one tractor to the pulls and tow the other! Worked well, just like pulling a wagon. Now I occasionally use the tow bar to push things into the shop.
