Says it will run and has a roto tiller.

It wouldn't be for sale long here at that
price! I've seen non running ones in much
worse shape with a junk deck and no other
attachments sell for $500-$600 here

(quoted from post at 21:42:32 03/04/22) Around here you would get double that.
I was thinking it may be collectable and with the prices I'm seeing on newer ones it seems like a good price.

Being a "round fender" machine it is older than 1968.

To be REAL valuable it would need to be a first year (1963, IIRC) model, they had some unique features such as a different implement lift lever.

(The lever on the RH side, as shown in the photo is the variator lever, which is NOT the lever in question.)

It comes with manuals that says purchased in 1968. Maybe it was purchased used. I'm going to try and look at it tomorrow. Here's a better pic of the other side.

That's NICE!

Agree it's worth every penny at that price.
Sure would look nice next to my 63 Allis Chalmers B10

Tom

That's earlier than 1968, maybe a 1964 or 1965.
The 1968 was the first year for the square fender model with the one-piece rear fender deck.
1968-1974 also had a wider frame and the quick attaching system for implements that continued from the 200-series in 1975-1987.
It's worth the asking price as pictured, more if the tiller works.

That one is equipped with hydraulic lift, the manual lift lever I mentioned is not present.

At 500 dollars that would not last very long on the market around here as long as it is a round fender.

I wish I could find another JD rider, a GT270 so I could leave
the 30 tiller on it full time. Too difficult for me to remover
48 inch mower and install tiller.

Mark I like the narrow front. Did you build it or buy a kit? I would like to set up one someday narrow front and 4020 like fenders and a few other details like a 4020. Tom

(quoted from post at 10:24:57 03/05/22) It might be a 70 hood but it for sure is not a 70 tractor.

Purchase date I located was for tiller not tractor.

Hood is for a "110". Unit serial # would define yr model but I'm sure it's an earlier model.

I dont really understand the hoods. It appears to hang over the front a little far than some pics I looked at. I did find a replacement hood that says it fits 110,112,60 and 70.

It's worth 500 but it's older than a 68 by at least two years I think. Mine is a 1970.

I agree. And pretty much any running round fender is likely worth his price. I'm just saying that caution is advised.

I have a type 36 snowblower in excellent condition. Only fits a round fender. In case anyone's interested, it's in Cecil County, MD

Definitely worth $500 even w/o tiller as long as the tractor fix is a cheap fix.
Vintage name brand garden tractors of that era, IH, JD, AC, Ford etc. are more rare the further west you go in the states.
