Inner Tube crud update

Blowed both tubes up very big and most of the crud flaked off, as many of you predicted. Let sit overnight and then a pocket knife got the rest. One tube had a couple pieces stuck real tight, I gave them a shot of Kroil and in a while they loosened up and scraped off too. Found one small leak after all that scraping, easy to patch. I'll leave then inflated for another few days to be sure no more leaks. Thanks

I have never had one stretch and then not go back down to normal unless you leave it out in the hot sun.

Normal to when patching a rubber tube to blow them up to 3 times normal to find a pinhole leak. And then used hot rubber patches. Never had any luck with the glue on patches. Haven't tryed to do any tire work since I tore up my shoulder 11 years ago while trying to dismount an old tire on a HF machine. So don't know anything about the new plactic tubes.

They always came back to size for me with the air out even in the sun. Then in MI it is not as direct as down south farther.
