Farmall cub tipping over.

The post below about Cub brakes reminded me of what happened at a farm at Clemson years ago.
A yellow Cub was stripped down to do some work and was painted looking better than new.
The rear was on blocks and the front was also up on blocks.
No wheels or tires.
Several guys were standing and looking at the super nice paint job.
Suddenly, the Cub tipped over and landed on it's side on the concrete floor.
It was like it happened in slow motion and nobody could stop it.
Had some touch up work to do after that.

They are easy to tip over when you have them jacked up. I always run a bolt in one of the holes in the torque tube, then cut a notch in a 2x4 to go around the bolt, then the board gets wedged in between bolt and bottom of barn wall. And a wood wedge on front axle under bolster. So far so good

The center of gravity shifts to one side on an offset tractor. They will tip if not counter balanced. A friend of mine had an offset IH. Cant remember the model. He was going to leave the wheel weight off until he made his first turn. He said he couldnt wait to put the wheel weight back on.

That is why I use my I-beam and chain hoist set up. No way it can tip over if held up from above. Been years ago but did the clutch and brakes and seals on a cub plus painted it
