Gehl 100 Feed Mill

I posted this in implement alley, but thought I might get more info from main page.I was trying to get this feed mill going again but its leaking oil from this valve that cuts on delivery and unloading auger. This mill has hydraulic pumps that drive loading and unloading augers. This valve drives the unloading auger. Parts book shows two snap rings and two washers but Im not sure if it comes apart. Does anyone have any experience with this? Grabbing at straws and this is my favorite spot for info! Im trying to attach a photo. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean, "does it come apart?" Do you mean in addition to how it shows it coming apart in the diagram?

Looks to me like you remove the snap rings and washers, then slide the spool out, and that's it.

Valves depend on a lapped fit between the spool and the body to keep the oil in. If that fit is worn it will leak, and the only solution is to replace the valve.

Yes comes apart, no direct experience pulling one
apart. But I agree with BY, looks pretty straight
forward. See on your diagram where it says Cross?
That is the valve manufacturer, I bet if you look at it
there are numbers cast in it and those can likely lead
you to a kit for it. See link.
Cross valve

Yes. Thats what I mean. In addition to the pic it shows. Ive taken the snap rings off and it still stops at same location. Ive tried to find where I thought it read it was not field servicable. Was checking to see if anyone had actually taken one apart before I break out the hammer. Ill check on that cast number and the cross website. Thanks for the info!
