Trying to tighten the 9/16th hex head bolt on the gas carburetor. But I cant get a wrench on the inside bolt. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have taken a 9/16 wrench and cut it short. Then ground off the out sides where the bolt head goes in and you can get it then. Kind of have to hold your mouth just right. Bob

Back when I worked in machine/weld shops we used to keep cheapo harbor freight tools in our roll-aways just for modified one time use tools. Sure is ALOT nicer that trashing quality tools.

My 37 D has the same setup. I replaced the hard-to-get-at bolt with an Allen bolt. Much easier to get at. Unc

I buy old tools at yard sales and flea markets in case I have to modify them. Chisels, files, punches and Allen wrenches make good stock for home made tools also.

The Allen head bolt sounds like a winner! I have also tried a old wrench but guess I havent ground it down far enough yet. I really appreciate the advise! Thanks
