Two of the Farmalls were restored by girls, by themselves. It was nice to see and nice to talk to them.

As you can see. Last year's champion was done by a girl. Good job to all that competed.
 
The club I'm a member of, South Texas Wheel Spinners and Crank Twisters, offers a stipend to any student who wishes to participate in an ag mechanics program. It does not have to be a tractor restoration. Unfortunately we haven't had a taker in the past few years.
 
I think Blinn College has one. Apparently none of the high school ag programs in Lavaca County have one. Funny thing, Crockett H.S. and Bowie H S in Austin had ag mechanics back when my son and daughter were in ag. Don't know about now. The students we have had participate did it on their own with help from club members.
 
Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. Really enjoyed viewing. Nice to see the ladies get involved in such a strenuous, time consuming, sometimes aggravating, frustrating, work of art.
