Co-pilot took this pic while I was driving.

I didn't notice any difference in ride, handling or road noise using truck tires on XT5.

MPG changes with road conditions, flat road, hills and mountains. 32 mpg is best average I've ever gotten at 75 mph. Overall average over 3K was 27.5 mpg.

Just letting you know, I'm pleased using truck tires on Cadillac. We came through a downpour. The extra tread on tires came in handy.

I think Mark said he used truck tires on his car, so I followed his advice and very happy.

Have you actually done the math to check to see if that read out is accurate for the MPG ? How can you do that, this is the average over 25 miles.

I can say the computer showed an increase in overall average. 26.5 mpg to 27.5 mpg.
I kept records and confirmed the overall average over 3k is 27.5. That includes stops and starts, city, highway and Interstate..

Bottom line, I'm happy with new truck tires.

To check your mileage do it the old fashion way, you fill up-write down your mileage at that time, drive what ever mileage, usually around 100 miles or so and fill up again and divide gallons used into the miles driven. Pretty simple math, I have found the car equipped mileage monitors to be off by several miles per gallon.

I did that. 3k miles average was same as car's computer,
27.5 mpg
Improvement over 26.5 mpg

Mike I am the other way I am a firm believer that the computer will give a more accurate reading, one thing you never park just the same way and hard to tell exactly what is full. I have checked my truck as you do over two thousand miles and then check the computer always very close.

Exactly! Our 2001 Silverado consistently indicates 2 to 3 miles per gallon MORE than what we get when checking the old fashioned way.

I couldn't tell the difference with Michelin tires except i practically had to live at the tire shop. Seem like they had a magnet in them that attracted nails.
