Replacing battery in my 750 amp jumper pack

Jump pack seems not to charge nor hold a charge anymore. You can buy the sealed batteries on the internet. I have opened the case and the factory battery is a HL1290. HL standing for henglypower. There are others like PS1290 with the PS standing for PowerSonic. My question is this???? Is a model 1290 battery the size and shape of the battery and if my battery has 1290 on it I can just buy another model 1290 battery and it will fit as long as the terminals are the same? Thanks.

As long as the dimensions are the same as the bad battery, and the amp hour rating is the same or higher, any 1290 battery should work.

I replaced the battery in my cheap (Harbor Freight?) jump pack a few years ago with a UB1290 from Northern Tool. It fit perfectly and works fine.

A lot of those batteries are available at Lowes and Home Depot in the lighting area, they are used in emergency lighting.

Sounds like a 12 volt 9 Amp-Hour battery. As others have said, match the dimensions and the terminals as well as the voltage and amp-hours.

Good evening, andy r and all: I have gotten several batteries for booster boxes from Batteries-Plus in Jackson, TN. The folks seem helpful, and the boosters work ok.
