hay processors

I've seen the videos of people feeding cattle in the winter with hay processors that can carry up to 6 bales, it looks like a great time saver. But curious about what happens with the twine or net wrap on the hay, I assume the grinder just chews it up. Even if you tried to remove it, it's hard to get every bit off of a bale before you feed it. Does it cause problems in the processor getting wrapped around the shafts, or what about inside of the cows?

Sisal twine might not be much of a problem, but net and plastic string will wrap. I have see TMR mixers loaded with the junk. The plastic string just stays in the cows gut. My Veterinarian told me about taking balls of twine out a cow.

The big ones that carry half dozen bales can be tough to get around with if you get much snow on the ground. I have one that carries two bales and it works good. As far as the net wrap I cut it off. If some gets wrapped around the hammers there is a hot knife that works good to take it off but I dont have one but have seen them.
