On morning walk I saw that a guy down the road tapped his Sycamore trees. He has a bunch of them in
his yard. Everyone has heard of Maple syrup. Brother tried some Hickory syrup he bought somewhere
(he didn't like it). Never heard of Sycamore syrup.

Never tried tapping a Sycamore, though they are related to the Maple so might work. I'd want to try some separately before mixing it in with maple sap.

Who was it?! Gibbons that ate pine cones. Theres lots of things edible or drinkable but Im not a pioneer type who looks for the exotic in foods, but hey, experiment and then sell me on it. Might be good. I understand that there was a time when tomatoes were considered poisonous. Theyre a staple now. Ive always wondered who ate the first one?

On the farm we made no elder syrup for a couple years. In the maple family and plentiful with sap.

Pignoli/Pinoli a.k.a. Pinenuts... are delicious! Good sprinkled on a salad, and great in Pesto served on pasta.

Not that I don't have plenty to do; now Ive got to make Shagbark Hickory syrup.
