Cold weather

Hi Im new here. My dad has a Massey 1429 30h. This winter we have been having problems with the tractor. When its around 30 degrees out it runs fine. But when the weather is colder it will start up and run for a few minutes and then the tractor will show about 800 rpms then rev back up and down over and over. I have got all the diesel out and put new winter fuel in. I also changed the fuel filter, air filter, I had it running after all this for probably around 2 hrs and today its back to doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

We have a Kubota side by side that was doing the same thing but actually shutting clear off.
This happened after we got red diesel in town, drove it over to get it. Was SUPPOSED to be winter blend, but we don't think so. Barely made it home.
I am an Amsoil dealer, I put the recommended amount of diesel fuel treatment in it. Helped a little, but still not correct. Had to double the diesel treatment and all is well now.
Would recommend you treat your 'supposed' winter blend fuel with Howes, or go to your Deere dealership and get their diesel fuel treatment. Will likely need to double up from the suggested level. DOUG

Yea I agree, I have a double douse of your favorite fuel
additive in my Kenworth all winter and its parked in a
heated garage every night

I don't know where you guys buy fuel from. Must ne some pretty poor suppliers with all the fuel problems you have. I'm glad I don't encounter them from my guy or I would change suppliers. I don't put snake oil in the fuel. Just pump it full and go. Keeping your tanks full will immensely improve the problems with fuel in winter as there is no room for water condensation.

I dont know where you buy fuel from is the bigger question
