Snowy day in the shop

We ended up with a little over a foot of snow from the storm this week. Not unheard of around here, but not a common occurrence either. I had the Case 830 you guys helped me tune up parked in front of the shop ready to go.

I think it did a good job opening the driveway up. It ran great!

Its a nice sunny day so I decided to spend some time in the shop. I brought the car up and parked it before the storm hit since it wont get much use till we get a melt! It needs a bath but Ill wait on that for awhile.

Some of you might remember when me and son got the auction M going I was having trouble with the starter. I tried to solder it but I really couldnt control the heat and didnt do a very good job. It lasted for a bit but I let the smoke out of it the other day. I order a new one from this site and put it on. Now it cranks like it should!

My grandfathers old section of harrow finally broke so I decided to try to fix it up a bit.

My dad was my go to guy for welding. Now that hes gone Im bound and determined to become a competent welder! I figured this would be a good piece to practice on. I welded the front up and then used an old bolt in the back and welded it in to reinforce the weld. Well see if it holds! I too embarrassed by my welding ability at this point to show a close up, but Im learning! As I look around the shop I realize how many things you all have helped me with! I like to thank you and tell you all I appreciate it! Thank for spending some time in the shop with us!

Looks like you have a great place for working on your tractors and a nice collection. Thanks for posting pictures

Not this one. Its a 305 HP V6. Believe it or not it gets 28 miles to the gallon. I had a 2006 5.0 with a 5 speed manual. My wife refuses to learn to drive a stick shift so when we had the opportunity to get another one I chose the V6 automatic so she could drive it too. It will get up and go if you stomp on it!

I have one section harrow that looks like the same model. I use it on the garden sometimes or the driveway, but it is too light to do much good.

We also have a 2008 Mustang with 4.0 V6. Warriors In Pink option package. Handles like a go-kart on winding roads.

I have the 305 HP V6 in my 2013. I'm amazed how much scoot it has for a V6, plenty enough to get in trouble my wife says. It needs a pair of ecoboost turbos off a F150, could make 400 or 425 HP.

When I came home from Nam in 69, I bought a 66 Mustang 2+2, Pony Package, 289, from a friend that owned a Ford dealership. All syncro three speed stick. My wife said she didn't know how to drive a stick. I said, guess you'll be staying home then. We went to Ft. Bragg NC for six months. By the time we headed back to Washington she could get rubber in two gears!!

I sure with we could get another foot or even two of snow . Thats a nice tractor you have to move snow I really like the loader to move snow it sure beats the old days of trying to push snow backwards

The grey mustang in my original post is a 2011 with the V6. I had to go back and look at the original paperwork for the 2006 I used to own. You are correct that car is listed as a GT with a 4.6L V8.

i guess I was was getting the GT and 5.0 badges confused. Been awhile since I owned that car!

Ive had 4 over the years. Had a 69 Fatsback, and a 72 Mach 1. Had to sell the Mach 1 to bury my first wife and child. About this time last year I sold my 14 GT to help pay for my sons college, and now have a 17 rag top GT. The 14 got hard for me to get in and out of, and it was a 6 speed, and pushing the clutch pedal was getting harder for me to do. But the 17, oh I love this car! I thought I had pics of it on this computer, but I guess I dont.

If you find pictures Id love to see them! Im sorry for the reason you had to sell the Mach 1. I really liked the 06 we had. It was the only new car Ive ever owned. But we really needed a good truck at the time, and my wife couldnt / wouldnt drive a manual. I traded it for the F150 that we still have today.
