I did a mowing job today. Tractor, and pickup started fine. Got to the job. Got unloaded, started mowing stopped a couple times to take a leak. finished mowing loaded up and came home. I did have one small problem. Check engine light came on. I have a year and a half before my next check, to worry about the light. Hope your day went well. Stan

Check engine light could have been a computer babysitter figuring you are too stupid to recall when you last changed your oil, and couldn't expand it's digital brain to figure that you got along for how many decades without the pest! I have one currently doing it to me on my 2009 Honda Element, go to the Dr. car. TPMP glows continuously since I had them removed the last time I had new tires installed.

My day went ok except most of the customers on my route decided to stay home because of the snow yesterday. I drove 70 miles but they couldn't call or show up to work. Glad I get paid by the hour :)
My thought on TPS has changed. We had just left my brothers house and hit the hwy when the light came on and showed 35 psi on a 44 psi tire,so I kept going it's only 15 miles home. 5 Miles later the psi was down to 20 psi and it drove fine. I pulled into a lit lot and put the spare on,by the time we got home the tire was in the bed and the gauge said 5 psi. I am sure I would have driven it home and ruined a 60 day old tire too, before I would had noticed the 6 ply tire not driving just right. Just my thoughts on the subject.

I had 4 new tires installed yesterday.
I got 4 emails from Onstar telling me I need to add air pressure.

on yes, onstar.
yesterday, my boss called to say that he needed a new battery in his Suburban, because his onstar told him so.
and yes, onstar was correct

Death in the family I put up a cuzz (death was his farther) and his family I don't think they could put up with my rules and moved on to other family. Tomorrow will be a nice day : )

I had a do nothing day.

Snowed in by an inch of snow! Work closed.

But under the snow is a layer of ice. Looking at the traffic report, every road, street and freeway was a solid red line! No precip forecast, but not much thawing until Saturday.

I never ventured out of the house.

onstar sent me another email. check engine.
I checked and had an engine, lol.
Onstar was right, the car needed a new water pump.
The old pump had a bad bearing and the bearing was vibrating causing the ultrasonic sensor to pick up the noise..
Onstar was right again....

Is that the GM mastermind that listens to your conversations while in the vehicle and if it detects the wrong word calls Barney on you? Oh I'm sorry. I misrepresented myself. Its to notify the ambulance if you push the red cross button.

...and we carry cell phones into...everywhere! Uh, who is listening there?
I have used Onstar since 2008 and I do not worry about anything that I say while in the car. I get monthly reports on vehicle systems and keep them in a computer file. Nice documentation for my maintenance of the vehicles.
