I had to remove the drawbar to install a 6 ft woods belly mower.
Then I made a 2 inch receiver. I can pull my 10k overloaded dump trailer with the Farmall. I attach the breakaway wire to the spring on the seat just in case I need to stop the trailer. No way are the brakes on
Farmall heavy enough to stop 10,000 pounds. One time I had to pull the brake away wire when the tractor ran out of gas going uphill. All the gas ran to the back of the gas tank. The electric brakes on the dump trailer locked all 4 wheels.
I bought this tractor after it was converted to 12v. After replacing two starter drives that I bought from YT I wanted to put a 12v starter on the tractor. None available, only 6v. So I use my oldest 12v mower battery and 10g wire, not starter cable.
The mower battery has been working well for years. No more damaged starter drives. No worry about a ballast resistor and a hot spark. This 1950 Farmall has a mag. Easy to remove the battery. No battery box.
This tractor gets my Boss's stamp of approval.
Of all my tractors, the Farmall is the only one with a Cadillac ride. I love the Monroe seat. The tractor is easy on gas too.
None of my tractors are show girls, they are hard working girls.
