Were going to start wiring this monster pretty soon. Main house workshop and guest house. 400A service 3 panels will be one great learning experience. Tractor related were looking for a compact around 40 hp, cab loader . Strongly leaning towards JD but Kubotas not totally out except I hear a lot that Kubotas hydrostatic drive makes them underpowered compared to their competition? Opinions?

Oh on the tractor , in JD were looking at 30 series so itll still have enough weight to move loaded pallets. Tks

Have you eyed it up as to how many of those walking hamburgers you could stash in there????
Neighbor has a Kubota hydro, i used it to mow a couple hours and got tired of trying to maintain
throttle/motion by foot, on smooth ground its probably a good thing, just wasn't as smooth and comfy to me, a different and fangled thing for an old standard to accept..:)
keep your stick on the ice and your wire pulled.

It looks like a barn lol. 5 more weeks of block 3, Im helping Kevin on Saturdays right now but Im sure theyll be many many many trips to this place over the coming year. I think this is our last year for the walking hamburgers, fuel and fertilizer is up 50-100% this spring grain prices are up over 50% already I dont mind contributing the labour for free if it brought in enough income to maintain the buildings but I cant do it with the way expenses are now. Were planning to rent out space this winter. Do you guys have much snow?

HE DIDNT SHOW U, THE CRUISE CONTROL HANDLE...NO NEED 2 USE FOOT, OR THROTTLE...I BEGAN SAME...L3940, EXCELLENT...BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED...

Guess i had better empty out the freezer in case one of them walks across the bridge...
we had some snow, enough to push off before it rained and froze, and major cold last sat and rain this tues, up and down like the past years.
I see the cruise control mention, from nick? i knew it was there and tried it, but it just wasn't a good feeling ride over humps and bumps we have here, Hydro is a good feature, excellent for loader work, just not a choice of old bush mowing habits.
School will be over all to soon, and the comment...those fresh from school should know what to do..:) no longer the newbie of the crew.
track you down next month.

All the hydros loose the same power, its a % of how much power depending what ratio its being used at.

Have put 3000 hours on our Kubota hydro so far, driven a dozen or so other ones. I dont like the JD and other two pedals controls but some folks love them. For parts and resale cant beat JD or Kubota.

My cousin got a Kubota hydro to do real work with like filling basements with gravel on jobs,it was about 40 HP,it couldn't begin to keep up with his JD 955 rated at only 33 HP.

I have a kubota L4310 43hp hydro I do alot of brushhoging and in the winter months I put a grapple on the loader and a skidding winch on the year.i couldn't guess how many trees I have skidded with it. Has the 3 speed hydro transmission I absolutely love this tractor plenty of power and very versatile.
