Baling Hay In A Blizzard

Temperatures are plunging in the western mountains of Virginia and a big snow storm will be here in a few hours (if not here by the time you read this post).

I figured enough of this cold stuff and thought I would share a log burn long warmer video...

Baling second cut hay from 2021. Raked windrows big, some of it spilled out of the pick-up sides, but we went around and got those chunks and the bales that went over the sides of the kicker wagons too...

Enjoy!

I like your videos, you have some interesting and challenging ground to work with. Making round bales on those slopes, you will certainly need to plan where you let the bales out. The harder a round bale is the better they are to handle and store, but hard bales also roll easier too. I have put out bales on sloping ground, and seen the bale sitting still and thought ok, then came back around the field next trip, and the bale had took off and was gone !!

title is a bit deceiving with baling in a blizzard then it really is spreading lime. I wanted to see how anybody baled hay in a blizzard and had it keep for long unless feeding it.

Thanks! That was not the video I meant to post, I cannot edit once posted - sorry about that. I reposted the correct video with another thread.

Thanks for watching!

Not intentional - posted the wrong video and cannot edit it. Reposted with the correct video.
