A yellow John Deere built in south Louisiana.
The older tractors used Cat motors except for that 805 in the other picture that used a Cummins.
Deere bought 50 percent of the company to get into the sugar cane harvester business and built tractors like this 220.
Eventually Deere bought full interest in Cameco and started painting the tractors green.
The name Cameco went bye bye a few years later.
Its a Deere plant still open today in the cane fields of south Louisiana.

Sugar cane in south Louisiana and south Florida is like corn to Iowa.
Only difference is sugar is more like Canadian maple syrup than U.S. corn with its quota system and price fixing.
With lobbyist this makes the sugar industry more like a drug cartel than a corn farmer.
