Ive heard of a bowling ball in the trunk.
Last week I stopped and checked if the wheel was loose because something is rattling when driving on rough roads.

Yesterday my wife was doing errands and she drove thru the carwash, when she got out the rear wiper wouldn't work. On the way home she stopped at the local mechanic to see if he could look at it and fix. He checked fuses and and whatever else he could check but couldn't find anything wrong. The decision was made to leave it there, she called me to come get her. We started home about a mile when he called her and said it was fixed, it turned out the rear window was down a tad not even noticeable.

Years ago ex-wife had a car registered to me. She kept getting parking tickets, I bought a couple dozen night crawlers and stuff the under the back seat.

Two summer ago elderly Phyllis came in with a bad smell in her car. After Mike tote the back seat out it was discovered that a squirrel had a nest of babies in the rear fender of Phyllis Buick Enclave.

When I was with GM, our sales department sold a lady a new Chevy minivan.

A friend of mine was the Service Manager at a Cadillac dealer back in the day... An old guy brought his Cadillac in with a rattle in the interior...After a test drive and a couple of mechanics crawling around and tearing the interior apart, they found a beer can behind the dash.....

SWMBO had a FOUL odor coming from her car on the way to work many years ago. Then, she remembered putting a horseshoe crab into the trunk a few days before that she was going to use for a decoration...

It didnt get used much after they lived in town for a while. he complained about a clunk in the cab. he brought it out to the farm and had me try to find the problem. turns out it was a can of fix a flat that he had bought and put it behind the seat and forgot about.

Friend of mine's Daddy found a 5/16 nut hanging on a string in the driver door of a new Ford. It had a piece of tape keeping it secure until the glue dried and started rattling around. Had a note in the door saying something like You found it!!

I had a 51 Chevy that made a noise when backing up. I was a beater so I never investigated. Then one day I was in the trunk and heard the noise. It was the spare tire rubbing on the tie down bolt!!
