Kubota loader issue

Have a 2 year old Kubota M4, less than 600 hours. Using brush grapple and developed sudden problem in that it will not curl up. Lifts, lowers and 3rd function work fine but will only curl up about half way then stops. Seems to have plenty of oil in the system and no apparent kink in any hoses or problem with connections. Observations and suggestions solicited. Thanks.

Does it have a self leveling bucket? We have a different brand of tractor that the self leveling switch got bumped and out of adjustment and did the same thing

I have L series, about 10 years old. My loader has 4 position wolbel stick, curl worked but loader would not raise. It has been at the dealer since before Christmas waiting for a part. As I understand it was position pin at the bottom of stick. I have a hitch in my gitalong, & I need this tractor!!!

If control valve is cable operated check to be sure cable is moving bucket control spool sufficiently to operate bucket cylinders. I agree 1 or both bucket cylinder piston seals could have failed.

The FIRST or most likely cause what we see the most is one of the quick connects on the loader is not seated or fully connected so as you try to curl the outgoing fluid has no place to go. I would almost bet if you pull the disconnects and re couple your problem will be solved. Please post results so the next guy will know. If that is not it sounds like a bent cylinder rod but that is doubtful.

Yes, I would consult the dealer.
However, is the warranty void if the owner modifies hydraulics?
I would change anything without first asking the dealer.

(quoted from post at 08:33:31 01/11/22) I would not change.....wish I could edit.....

Thanks for correcting my mistake concerning lack of control cables on this model.

Why can't you edit your post?

I can edit my posts

My one year old B3000 Kubota did something similar, the loader would not go up. As it turned out it was a bad connector where you plug the loader in the hydraulic system. Being under warrantee I loaded it up and took it to the dealer. Of course it happened at about 12:05m pm on a Saturday and the dealer closes at noon on Sat and it was in the middle of a snow storm. Showed up at 8 am with it Monday morning at the dealer and they wanted me to leave it. Got halfway home and they called me and said it was good to go and no charge.

jm.-I pulled and reset the couplings but it didn't seem to help. I think my dealer is coming out in the morning. Thanks for your input.

Glad to help.

There are also some much less knowledgeable folks.
