And did this with their tractor shed. Nice big space with restaurant and brewery on the farm. Looks like they have a talented group of musicians, too. Gerrit in Iceland

Look like a nice cozy warm place to unwind. I have been really enjoying your pics from Iceland. Thank you
for sharing this with us. Kow Farmer Kurt

It is a cool place to hang out, sorry I didnt hear them play. Iceland offers up a lot of good local musicians who can play many different genres. Amazing the amount of talent here.

If you have a good eye for detail youll see the electric conduit on the walls is all copper tubing. It looks fantastic but mustve been really expensive to run. Never seen that before.

Kow Farmer, glad you enjoy the photos. I enjoy sharing them Iceland has a lot of interesting features you dont see many other places. Ill be here a few more days, will post anything I think looks interesting...Gerrit

ooh, you're in Iceland! That's good you are able to go with the state of the world being as it is. Look at that metal patchwork ceiling.. might amplify the music quite a bit. Once I went to Iceland and my friend insisted on renting a 2WD car. We got stuck right on the highway in the snow and wind and ice. Luckily, I knew that would happen, and I had a folding shovel ready in my travel bag. I got out in the storm and shoveled us loose while my friend waited in the warm car, eating a sandwich. Then I pushed and pushed and helped get the car up the hill, and we were on the way. Luckily, I'm from MN, WI, and AK so it wasn't a problem. Did you get a 4WD this time?????? :) :) :)

GotMyFarm! I have something called a Dacia Dustter 4X4 with six speed manual, but I drove off the road once in a whiteout and had to be pulled out. It's a common situation here when drivers can't see the road and it hasn't been closed yet. Where were you in Iceland? This time I made the full circle around the country coming from the east. Huge weather with a blizzard for 2 days, couldn't go anywhere. But the place I stayed had horses and sheep and a lot of dogs so I had good company. Happy new year from Iceland :) Gerrit

Good, you do have a 4WD. How exciting to do the full loop all around! For sure, if you were stuck with dogs and horses during the storm, that is great company. Where was I? I don't know.. somewhere on the west side I guess.

I meant to include some photos in the last reply but forgot, so here they are. This is up north, heading to a town called Siglufordur. Gerrit

Nice pics, interesting place. I really like the design of that house with the three peaks. The last thing with the wheel.. don't know what it is.. something to do with some sort of energy?

GotMyFarm! I like the style of those old houses, too. Probably very cold inside now, vacant for some years. An area attached to the back, now in ruins, was for animals. I'll see if I have a photo.

That old machine I think was some kind of pump, maybe for a fishing boat? The info plate says it was made in Denmark in 1929. Maybe someone who knows old iron better than I do will have an idea of what it was for. Gerrit

Guess I didn't take a pic of the animal enclosure but the walls had gaping holes, maybe they used the stones for something else. Here's a shot of the glacier lagoon on the south coast. Pieces of glacier break off and float here in this icy pool.
