We are taking apart a John Deere 620 pto housing. Have everything out but the rock shaft piston and sleeve. How do we get it out?

Welcome to YT
In order to access/R&R rockshaft piston & barrel one must remove rockshaft housing from rear of trans/final drive housing.
We have the housing removed from the back of the tractor. Just not sure how to get the piston and barrel out

Jd makes a very good service manual on those hyd units.I highly recommend
getting one. I have changed a couple of the piston seals on those right on the
tractor. To get the piston out you have to remove one rockshaft arm and then
move the rockshaft over enough to the one side so the piston can come all the
way up out.I don't think it had to come all the way out. I think you also remove
the rate of drop adjustment you can get it from the outside. This lets air in as
you pull the piston up and out.

We are completely removing all parts from the cast housing and putting in a new housing because ours is broken

Everything comes out the top. Take off top cover-A5609R.. Pull out rocker-shaft-A5591R.. Pull up
piston-A5397R.. Then cylinder-A5594R can be pulled out....
