After sitting for a few months, the engine was hitting on one cylinder for a few seconds and blowing black smoke until it fired on both cylinders.

I installed a new plug after draining summer blend gas, added seafoam and atf fluid in winter blend. 1 oz per gallon.

Terramite fired up like nothing was

Wrong. Compress was same both cylinders

Gave it a shot workout moving compost pile.

All is good, considering it has 2000 hrs on engine. Doesn't use oil.

If it acts up again I need to measure exhaust temperatures.
Irget a hotter plug.

Looks like it may have a bigger gap.

What would have opened the gap, I always check the gap before installing.

E10 is EPA mandate.
14 different blends are required in different parts of USA.
If anything using summer blend in winter may be half the reason.
Possible valve guide caused valve to stick open
Possible bad plug.
Possible all the above.

Just glad I don't have to pull the head and grind valves
All is good for now.
