This would have cost me a radiator

But the terramite is air cooled.
This happens all the time when I'm

clearing brush.
I make a skid plate to keep brush away from hydraulic lines on the bottom side of tractor.
Yesterday I smelled wood getting warm .
A stick was in contact with the muffler.

Know you know why I refuse to use the Kubota when trailblazing.

I had a stick go through the grille and radiator of the Deere 630 when I had a loader on it so it can happen. It ended up being a blessing in disguise though. Before I ordered the new core i researched cores heavily with the premise that money will not be a limitation. The new core was expensive but with the new core The tractor will not overheat under hard load in any temperature Iowa can dish out.

I've had 2 radiators get stoned. A stone made a hole.
One hole I patched with gum and got it home with no radiator cap
to build pressure.

I don't understand the need to nose in so far that the grille and radiator are in to things like that. We have very little radiator problems from silly things like this. Mostly they just give up the ghost after many years of use. cracks at the tanks or bad core tubes. When pushing out brush or stumps we don't just drive up till the whole stump rolls out we stop and back up to get a better and lower bite for the next push the roots are not up under the front end that way.
