You must be looking for the old edge screen mechanical filter that can be cleaned?

GOOGLE shows a few places to call.
ONE possibility

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if the length is under 3 inches and the diameter is around 2 1/2 inches? That is about what the filter would have to be to fit inside the canister.

On mine, the PO had bypassed all three filters, and stuck one of those little inline filters in some 3/8 hose- ugh. I found all three filters, but then found a filter housing from a 504D, which is just the old 706 housing, but a single instead of primary and final. Going to plumb it up with the 504D filter when I get a chance

Still hoping to find the cross refernce to the orginal filter, I am sure there is still something available. Just need help finding it. Would like to keep the original likeness of the tractor as I restore it back to the original. I appreciate any and all the help I can get. Thanks.

Do you have the original primary filter?

If so, does it look like the filter in the photo I posted?

Why not call the folks at the link I posted and find out what details they may be able to add?

The above drawing is for the filter (Key#4) part number you posted, 368278R91.

Does your filter housing resemble the drawing?

Do you have the "element nut" (Key #5) or has that been lost, you'd need it to put n original-style filter back in place.

I don't think you will find a cross reference for the old edge screen. Cuno was/is one maker of those screens and any I replaced had to come from them, or the dealer for the equipment that used them. I can't say that Cuno made that one for IH. I would suggest you contact the lead wore out gave you and ask them for dimensions. That type isn't a $15.00 filter element.

Thanks guys for the input and help. I will be checking wiht them at ATS they are not that far from me.
Thanks again.
