Motor lifting ring

My Oliver 550 needs new front and rear crankshaft seals. I got it split and the book says to lift the motor out with a lift ring on the long head stud. I didnt have one so I made one. I put 2 half inch nuts on a bolt and tacked them together. I found a sleeve that fit over the bolt and welded it to the nuts. I took a piece of half inch rod and heated it and wrapped it around the sleeve, cut it off and welded it together. Im ready to pull the motor out tomorrow.

good job, but i have not seen an engine get pulled out with only one lifting eye. other than the chevy v8's i made my own lifting eye that would bolt in place of the carb.

A forged eye bolt and a rod coupling.
