I don't buy it. With chains if there is no side arm on it the mower will run down the slope till it is under the pole. Not stay along the sidehill.
 
My neighbor does this. He is on his second mower. The first mower shucked the rod probably from the oil going to one side of the crankcase.

I kind of had the same thought until I looked closer, sort of an illusion in the picture.

He definitely does not have a 10 foot long bale spike sticking out on the front of the tractor or as you said the mower would be on the road in front of him.

Looking closer I believe the pole actually sticks out sideways from the loader frame.
 
I think it would way simpler, and way, way faster, to put a sickle-bar, or, a disc mower, on the tractor. Mark.

I don't think it's necessary for you to buy it. It appears to be working just fine without financial assistance.
