Got the urge to do early spring cleaning AGAIN!

You know I'm hard up for something to do when I resort to cleaning

I made a pole barn broom to help make things a little easier.

I put dirt in a trash can. Now the can weigh more than I can lift.
I will dump the dirt in the terramite's front bucket and dump it in the burn pile in
the gravel pit. That will clean up the straw and paper. Remove any oil too.

Can't remember the last time I swept the floor.
I can't believe how big the pole barn got.
BTW it's a 30x40x10. I built this barn about 15 years ago.
I learned a few things that I incorporated in my second barn..
I put my tractors to bed and now I have enough room to move my retired Jubilee here.
I may bring the Jubilee, disk and plow here in the spring to work the garden.

I think the Jubilee will fit to the left of the terramite.
Not sure how well a Farmall, Ford and Terramite will get along as roommates.
I'll just have to wait and see.
All my tractors have a bedroom. They have to learn to share with other tractors.

I admire your energy ! If you get too bored come on over and get my garage straightened out.

The broom idea really isn't mine.
When in HS I saw kids use large mops to go over the basketball court floor during half time.
I have 2 pole barn brooms. One for each pole barn.
I also use a 20v dewalt leaf blower to blow out the fine dirt.
Use 2 squirrel cage fans to help with the fine dirt and wear a respirator to keep the fine dirt out of my lungs.

I have a Mini Menards warehouse where I store wood. It's next on my cleaning list.
I have some red oak boards I want to move to my new pole barn and make more room in the warehouse.

Then I need to spend a little time on my old 24x24 workshop. It has a lot of scrap metal I want to organize in the new barn too.

I never realized how much dirt I had to sweep up until after the trash can got so
heavy.
Next trip to the burn pit, I'll roll the trash can into the bucket. No plans on
lifting it and hurting my back.
It doesn't take long for the floor to get dirty. Dirt sticks to tires. When I back the
tractor out, dirt is dry and falls off.
I wish Santa would bring me a cordless sweeper that automatically cleans the pole barn
floor. Sort any tools left on the floor and put them back on the workbench.
That's not asking too much is it?

How did you take the dust. I have some wood shavings they have some kind of oil in them it knocks down the dust and makes the floor shine : )

I use to use it in the shop put it down and walk on it a day I keep the floor clean as I go now with a mop. I brought some stuff at a online auction years back. While picking up my items a guy ask if I knew what was in a drum I said Yes its store brought wood shavings used to clean a floor. He said you want it I said YES...

I use a large dust mop to sweep my floors it takes minutes and no dust : ) I pushed one of those like you have its to much like work.

HoBo.
I wear a paint respirator and use a leaf blower to blow the fine dust towards 2
squirrel cage fans. Both fans are along the workbench. A cloud of dust comes flying
out the garage door.
Been thinking that I should just dump used oil on the entire floor and pick it up with
dirt or wood chips. That way there won't be one oil stain on the floor. The entire
floor will be the same, one big oil stain.

I don't mop my floors or wash them. Tomorrow the floor will be covered again with
redneck oil dry, dirt. The pole barn grows dirt.

I put used plywood under the Farmall. Trying to potty train it.
Cardboard under terramite.

My pole barn isn't going to make it on the cover of Better Garages and Pole barns.

i used to do it that way also, but now i just use the air compressor open all big doors turn on all fans and wear my fresh air weld helmet and blow the floors clean. i just use clear lens in helmet then. shop is 54 x 115 ft built in 82

One old boy said as he WATCHED me sweeping a concrete floor, Ya know, if you saved that dirt, you'd have a nice farm some day...
