(quoted from post at 04:47:28 12/05/21) So many tractor collections. Having somewhat restored a few, when I see pictures like this, I wonder where all the money came from
!

The money for one of the largest, at Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights VA, came from the family trucking business.

Massey Harris was way ahead of other manufactures in styling and I really liked the Twin Power setup on mine on my sawmill.
Richard in NW SC

Keith Jones and his brother owned Abilene Trucking went all over North America could haul back tractors on their trucks, also were very good about hauling tractors for those of us in the VA/Carolina
area.

(quoted from post at 10:05:09 12/05/21) Nice tractor. I wonder if the belt pullies came painted from the factory? Stan

Stan, I think that it is a safe bet that the whole belt pulley assembly got bolted on before spraying.

That may be true showcrop, I do not know.
But then did they spin it to paint it all around?
What about the back side? Was the back left unpainted?
Inquiring minds. As I said, I do not know.

It is possible that they had a plate bolted on instead of the belt pulley when it went to the paint room, or they could have just sprayed from one side then poked a spoke to rotate it. The area of the engine block behind the starter on one of my Fords had a pronounced shadow from being blocked by the starter during painting, proving, I think, that the starter was on during painting.
