Some Farm Scenes

In the second year of drought it is rare to see morning fog anymore. So when we got a little yesterday I took the drone up for a few pictures and video. Too late though as most of the fog had cleared off and the sun came out. Still made for some nice scenery showing the little bit of November snow we still have left. Cattle didn't like the drone much. Cats were indifferent as is often the case.

Thanks Kurt. I even got the cows in this one briefly before they disappeared into the trees. They soon came back when they saw me with a pail of oats chop.

I'm a daily watcher on this forum, usually work the Oliver or Ford posts. I always marvel at you folks and the wide open spaces with cold weather. Enjoy your fantastic drone flights we have a quite different environment in southern New Mexico.

West central Missouri, we're catching up to you on that dryness! Lots of ground worked, and wheat in the ground. GG
Interesting how much of the country seems to be getting either too much or too little moisture.
A few light snow showers this morning did not amount to much. Fog rolled in this evening around sundown.

(quoted from post at 05:09:29 12/01/21) Beautiful scenery - it's amazing how flat it is. Here in central NY, we've had a very wet summer and fall - tough to get hay put up
While its true there are no mountains here, it is not flat. I had to haul tons of fill just to get a piece of ground 50x64 level enough to build that straight wall shed. And that hill in the centre of the yard has been the cause of several vehicle runaways when somebody forgot to set the park brake. So no, its not as flat as it looks.

Did you At Least get some rain this fall? Hopefully the snow comes but it could wait a month yet lots of fall feed yet

We had a few little rains after harvest but not enough to recharge any ground moisture. Just dampened down the surface. Hoping for lots of snow this winter and then timely rains all spring and summer. Not counting on it though.

We ended up getting about 8 inches rain from August through
October but we still need snow and a lot of it
