Rebuilding H carb problem

hey guys, I know I have made a few posts prior but now I am finally getting down and dirty. Early 1940s H the venturi is seized in the carb and I can not replace the gasket underneath. Any tips or tricks?

The venturi will easily break, they are usually oxidized pot metal just leave it where it is. Jim

Thank you. Will that cause any issues with the gasket that is supposed to go underneath it?

I think it might be necessary to use a razor knife to make it fit. I don't have one in hand to assess the issue, so trimming might be needed. Jim

Just did a couple from an M that were seized in. I soak
them in a cleaner for a while and they will usually come
out. Ive also had to take a big wooden dowel and knock
them out. I would not recommend trimming the gasket to
make fit. Take your time and itll come out.
